SAFETY NOTES.

    Mineral collecting can be dangerous. Please keep all children and pets on a tight lead. Remember that old mines and mining sites are full of dangers so don't venture underground on your own or if badly equipped. You put not only yourself but others at risk if you do.

    Some minerals are radioactive. Keep them in a clearly marked, locked, lead-lined box away from children. Some are also poisonous, so wash your hands carefully after handling minerals and certainly before eating.

    Use hard hats, boots and goggles when collecting minerals. A rock about the size of a marble hurts  when it hits you.
